Oakbridge Condominiums
July 2009
Greetings!
In an ongoing effort to improve communication with Oakbridge owners, the HOA Board of Managers would like to invite you to our second open meeting of the year! This somewhat informal meeting will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at 6:45pm. To help cut costs, we will congregate on the lawn on the west side of the property. Feel free to bring a lawn chair and a beverage as we discuss the latest goings-on at Oakbridge (if these evening showers keep up, you may want to bring an umbrella, too)!
"What will we be discussing?" you may ask. Well, here's a tentative list…
-parking lot seal coat & repaint, and pothole repair
-termination of Sunflower Management contract
-posting of trespass & loiter signs
-whatever is on your mind!
Reminders
The Board of Managers continues to receive complaints regarding dogs running unleashed on Oakbridge grounds. The Rules & Regulations clearly state that all dogs must be leashed when on Oakbridge grounds. This is for the comfort and safety of all residents as well as the safety of your pet. Additionally, several residents are still very unhappy with the amount of dog excrement in the common areas. This poses a serious health hazard to the residents of Oakbridge. The Board would like to remind all dog owners that they are in violation of the Rules & Regulations if they do not clean up after their pet. Out of consideration for your neighbors and the maintenance crews, please clean up after your pet!
As we strive for a better community, the Board would like to remind everyone that the city curfew and noise ordinances will be strictly enforced. To look over city ordinances regarding curfew, noise, trespassing and loitering, check out the new Oakbridge web venue at http://oakbridgehoa.blogspot.com
The Board would like to remind everyone that any personal items must be stored on the patio areas of their unit and not in the common areas. Any obstruction in the pathways of the common areas presents a hazard not only for other residents who have a right to the common areas, but also to emergency response personnel who may need immediate access to a unit. Additionally, any owner that has crawlspace access on their back patio must keep the access clear at all times.
The Board would also like to remind residents and owners that discarding cigarette butts on Oakbridge grounds is a violation of litter laws as well as a health hazard. Please discard cigarette butts (and all other refuse)in an appropriate manner.
Finally, a note of thanks…
Mike High has graciously volunteered to keep the bushes trimmed as well as perform some light grounds keeping. He is very experienced with this type of work and enjoys improving the aesthetic quality of the property. If you see Mike out and about, be sure to thank him for his efforts in keeping Oakbridge grounds looking good and saving the HOA some pennies!
Also, Chris & Larimore Nicholl have graciously taken it upon themselves to look after the curbside flowerbeds and nurse a few bare spots back to health. If you see the Nicholls out plucking weeds and planting foliage, be sure to thank them for their efforts!
These volunteers are a true asset to the Oakbridge community, and we appreciate you volunteering your time and energy!
If you witness a resident doing something to improve the quality of Oakbridge grounds or lending a helping hand, feel free to call and let us know. We will be sure to acknowledge them in the next newsletter.
By working together, we can make Oakbridge a great place to live!
We hope to see you at the meeting on August 11th and we appreciate your enthusiasm for improving the quality of living at Oakbridge Condominiums!
Your Board of Managers,
Sherree
